Pūlama
This song was written in 1997 soon after we moved to Kona. We were living on the Palika Ranch (Biily Paris) in Lehuʻula in Kona. Jake, our younger son, was very active and got into some trouble because of it. Jakeʻs middle name is Pūlama. It means to cherish. The English translation is not a word for word translation. Many times there are no English word that match the Hawaiian so English phrases are used to try to capture the Hawaiian meaning.
